The strange thing about seeing All Might without Kikyou had to be how he kept saying something, then turning or looking down next to him as if expecting someone nearby, only for his face to fall when he realized that no, his sidekick wasn’t there. Shouta wanted to facepalm each time because how was it possible for that giant of a man to look like such a kicked puppy just because his sidekick was in class instead of running around with him? Or at least Shouta assumed the girl was in class; maybe a cram school. High School Entrance Exams were coming up, weren’t they? But then he spots All Might looking at the empty space to his right with a hangdog expression and Aizawa thinks that this is entirely ridiculous.
Geez, if All Might is like this when she went to school, what is he going to do when the girl gets herself a boyfriend?

In the end, hero school or no, Yuuei was a school. They picked class representatives, Iida for class president and Yaoyorozu for vice president, and Izumi finds herself agreeing with her classmates that this is easily the most mundane thing they’ve done since school started. The novelty of being taught by heroes is beginning to wear off, some are more interesting than others, and some are, despite the efforts of the teacher, more boring than others. Throughout it all the class begins to form bonds, though all the girls agree that the class would be much better without that pervert Mineta in there. Jirou actually had to stop him from peeping on them in the locker rooms at one point! Even Kaminari, to his credit despite being equally brainless as Mineta, did his part keeping the perverted boy away from the female half of the class.
It also turned out there was a rivalry between Class 1-A and Class 1-B, one that included their teachers. Well, Vlad at least, because Aizawa didn’t seem to give a damn. He wasn’t above using Class 1-B to challenge them though.
Then, all too soon, they went on their first Disaster Training trip.
Izumi was nervous. They had barely any practical training for the most part! But she also looked forward to it. She would get to experience the frontlines of heroism!

Izumi is not entirely sure what she was expecting when they get off the bus, but a massive complex of disasters is not one of them. She assumes that they are all controlled environments because the inferno she can see out to the side is not consuming everything in its path and the massive wall of water sloshing around in another zone is not breaking it’s banks and washing everything away. Her deductions are proven correct when Rescue Hero Thirteen explains the place to them.
The Unforeseen Simulation Joint. USJ.
And there, standing beside the Rescue Hero is her Uncle in his Muscle Form. “He actually made it here without getting sidetracked?!” she whispered in shock. All Might beams at her and winks. Izumi twitches. Forget All Might, her Uncle is All Ham.
Izumi is not sure what is coming, but she is sure that today will be very informative.

“I AM HERE!!!” All Might is running his Ham Engines on Full Throttle as he falls out of the sky in a flurry of red, yellow, and blue.
A smaller figure in similar colors drops off his shoulder as the Hero lunges at the bulky villain holding a whole family hostage.
Kikyou hits the ground running, and she is circling around the intersection even as All Might grapples a second villain into submission.
“I don’t think so, little girl!” a woman lunged out of the crowd.
“I thought so!” All Might laughed, “suppress her, Kikyou!”
“En!” Kikyou twists through the air, and her chain hisses as it wraps around the woman’s wrist. A quick leap and twist, and the woman is hung from a nearby lamppost even as All Might deals with the villain and hostages.
All Might laughs even as the crowd cheers and claps.
Kikyou doesn’t smile for the camera, she locks the chain and pulls out a pair of collapsible tonfa. Moments later, she is once more circling the intersection.

Izumi leaves the Unforeseen Simulation Joint with her classmates at the end of the day, tired, dirty, but much more knowledgeable about how to save people. They arrive at the school in time for lunch.
The day passes without incident, and for some reason, it makes Izumi uneasy. But then she puts it out of her mind.

Roughly a week after the Disaster training at USJ, Aizawa announces the UA Sports Festival.
